Individual Striders have achieved many successes in the past three years:

Liz Ball
- Yorks. women's O-40 Cross-country runner-up Hull 1998.
- Yorks. women's O-40 10km champion Horsforth 1997 & Cardinal Heenan 1995.
- Yorks. women's O-40 10 mile champion Otley 1996.
George Black
- Age graded 91.5% - 34:49 aged 57 for 10k Abbey Dash1996.
- 3rd O-55 representing Scotland in British Isles x-c champs 1996 (also 2nd O-55 in 1995).
Paul Briscoe
- 4th in Three Peaks Race 1997.
- 3rd in Three Peaks Race 1995.
Howard Jeffrey
- Yorks. vets 1/2 marathon runner-up Ackworth 1996.
Max Jones
- World O-70 records for 100km, 12 hours, 150km, 100miles, 24 hours Hull 1997
- British O-70 records for 40 miles, 50 miles Hull 1997
- World O-65 Record Holder at 30miles, 50km and 50miles (track) Doncaster 1997.
- Unofficial world record for O-65 50miles (road) 1996.
- 1st O-65 in London Marathon 1996 & 1995. Ever-present at London 1981-1997.
- 2nd O-65 in World vets marathon 1995

Sylvia Watson
- Represented Great Britain in World 100km champs 1997/1996/1995/1994
- Yorks. women's 20-mile Champion Spen 1996.
- Yorks. women's O-45 10k champion Cardinal Heenan 1995.

Leeds Country Way relay (3 teams of 12 entered 1995 and 1996)
Meanwood Park relays (3 teams of 4 entered 1997)
Northern men's 12-stage at Leeds 1997 (53rd) and at Wigan 1996 (44th)
West Yorks. cross country men's team of 6 (9th overall for 4 races in 1996-7 season)
West Yorks. cross country women's team of 4 (entered 1994-5, 1995-6, 1996-7).
Yorkshire men's 6-stage at Wakefield 1997
Yorkshire women's 4-stage at Wakefield 1997 (8th?)

Looking further back, we have had a variety of notable successes:

Leeds Marathon - 4 different winners - M.Hopson, K.Cluderay, T.Bean, T.Wilson.
Leeds Marathon - every year 1983-1995 at least 3 in first 10 (6 in 1991 and 1993).
Leeds Country Way winners 4 times (and in 1991 the Vets team was 2nd to the A team).
Lyke Wake Run individual and team winners.
Steve O'Callaghan - 3 times Yorkshire marathon champion.
