The proceeds from this year's raffle will pay for the majority of the cost of resurfacing the drive including running a drain for the full length. Leos Rugby Club have also obtained a £5000 grant from Sport England towards this.

Valley Striders Fell Championships (from Steve Webb)

I thought I ought to include the results from our brilliant VS team at the FRA Relays. Legs 1 and 4 qualify as AS, legs 2 and 3 as AM. So I applied the usual 10% uplift for A category but didn't treat them as "nominated" races because a) they weren't, and b) they were not open to all, you had to be in the team to run.

Anyway, good scores achieved on all four legs, and in particular Ross's run with Jon on Leg 2 achieved a 7 point uplift on his score from the Three Peaks. As a result he's leapfrogged Dave into 2nd place overall.

Updated league can be found from this link www.valleystriders.org.uk/vsclubch.htm

This year's Fell Championship winners are Jon Pownall and Kim Spence.
