Training on 26 September including coached session

Juniors/beginners/improvers 6pm at Leos

Intermediates/advanced 6:45pm at Leos for the second coached session by David Lowes.

Message from Myra

Tuesday is the 2nd of our coached sessions.  I thought the first session was a success and it was brilliant to see so many people there.

If you didn't make it to the first session, please come along this week if you can.  The session will involve a variety of reps and running drills.

Please arrive at Leo's for a 6:45 start.  NB please wear hi-vis.

We're hoping David will join us for food afterwards and be on hand to offer training advice.

October Training

The provisional plan is as follows:
- 3 October - all groups at Leos, followed by food for all
- 10 October - juniors at GSAL for VS Sports Day Part 2; intermediates & advanced at Beckett Park
- 17 October - all groups at Leos; food for juniors and possibly for adults too
- 24 October - all groups at Leos
- 31 October - all groups at Leos, intermediates/advanced will be final coached session, food for all

Some people who are not running 3 laps may come later and join for a later lap so if you'd like to do this please join the event on Facebook or email [email protected]  and we can discuss times with you.

RACE RESULTS

Northern Road Relays

Boys Under-13

The boys' race involved a devious lap of the Etihad Stadium and its car parks.

This was the first time we'd entered a junior team in this event.

29th Valley Striders AC 40:50
 Tom Mackreth (45) 13:39
 Jack Woodeson (41) 14:21
 Jamie Walker (30) 12:50

42 teams finished successfully, one was disqualified, 10 clubs had incomplete teams (many of these had brought several teams and gave the opportunity for their reserves to run)

See picture on front page of VS website

Senior Men

The senior men's race involved two devious laps of the Etihad Stadium and its car parks.

28th Valley Striders AC  2:12:30
