Sunday 6 September – Leeds Country Way

Help!, We’ve run out of reserves, so if anyone fails a fitness test tomorrow, we’re short.

If anyone is available to run, please email [email protected] (Don’t worry if you don’t know the route, whoever we partner you with will know where they are going)

We do have some flyers for Harewood Trail Race which we’d like to give out to incoming runners at the end of each leg.  Hopefully outgoing pairs in the B or C teams could do this while they wait for their incoming pairs, but as soon as the “A” team get in and cooled down, they could take over handing out these flyers.  Please email [email protected] if you are willing to help with this.

Sunday 6 September – Junior Race at Wetherby

Note that the junior race will be the first race in Valley Striders 2015/16 Junior Grand Prix. It’s also in the 2015/16 Leeds Junior Race Series.

Regarding the 2014/15 VSJGP, Graham Jones has collected all the parkrun results and I’ll be working on calculating the final scores next week.

Tuesday 8 September

Final reminder that it’s the second Tuesday in the month so the 6pm sessions are at GSAL and the 7pm sessions at Leeds Met.  See website for details and directions.

Tuesday 15 September

This will be the Autumn junior mile race (adults welcome) and 5 mile club handicap.  Both races start from the footpath alongside Eccup Reservoir.

As it was dark at 8pm this evening and we’ve still got 11 days to go, we’re bringing the times forward.

There will be an adult 1 mile race at 6:05pm and the junior 1 mile will start at 6:15pm.

For the club handicap, please come down to the Res for 6:30pm, the first runner will be off at 6:40pm to ensure everyone gets back before dark.

We’ve just had 5000  postcard size flyers printed.  If you can (also) help before the day handing out flyers at races and/or putting them on car windscreens and/or taking them to schools, gyms, running shops etc), please mention this when you email the “help” account as we will soon be publishing a list of races and places and need names for each.
