Harewood Trail Race

 

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone helping at the Harewood Trail Races today, a resounding success in all ways

 

Second highest number of entries in 2 mile

10 mile winner Andrew Pearson set 2nd fastest time on the route

2 mile girls winner broke course record

Valley Striders represented by winners – Eddie Robinson (B15-16), Callum Parton (B9-10) and Dominic Mather-Hunter (B5-6)

220 entries on the day for 10 mile and 80 entries on the day for 2 mile

Forecast profit of about £4,000 to be shared between Lineham Farm and Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Our race was “scrutinised” by the British Association of Road Running and passed the test

We have a bottle of “Harewood Trail Ale” for every marshal – please collect after training on Tuesday evening

 

Tuesday Training

 

This week’s training (Tuesday 6 October) is our first winter session on High Ashes.  Meet at Leos at 6:45. 

 

Please bring and wear a reflective bib if you have one

 

Afterwards, lasagne at Leos, late bookings will be taken by email up to 10pm Sunday evening or by TEXT to 0777 5898 558 up to 2pm Monday.  Please select meat or veg lasagne and whether you want apple pie.

 

West Yorkshire Cross Country at Halifax

 

This is the far side of Halifax so please make arrangements to share cars if possible.
