Message from Ilkley Harriers
It is highly unlikely that we will be able
to use the bottom of the field for car parking at Nell Bank (as shown on our
details). The field is saturated and will not dry out before the weekend.
The alternative that we are suggesting is to park in the Ilkley Lido car park
and walk east through the woods onto the course - there is a good track along
the bottom of the woods all the way along to the triangle field where the
course is being run. Allow 10 mins for the walk.
Race starts 11:00. Ideally register
before 10:30. £2.50.

Shepherds
Skyline
From Laura
Clark
Sharon
Tansley and I ran in the Shepherds Skyline Fell Race on Sat. It was very muddy
and slippy it was hard to stay on our feet! I came 160th and Sharon 321st out
of 363. Unfortunately
From Beca Harvey
(Beca won
the last Club Handicap and hasn’t been seen since)
Sorry I
haven’t been down for a while, I am struggling with an old stress fracture in
my leg and am having to take it very steady, just using treadmill etc. It
happened the 1st time as a consequence of road running and I am worried this
may be the trigger again! I am managing just about to keep fitness up in the
gym so hopefully wont lose what I have built up! Anyway, just wanted to let you
know it wasn't anything you said! Will hopefully be back soon but will have to
see how it goes.
Baby Strider
From Rob
Bumstead
I am now a
father! My girfriend, Deborah gave birth to a baby boy, Benjamin Matthew
on 9th Oct, 6lb 13 oz.
Mother and
baby are doing well, and Deborah reckons he's got runner's legs - not sure if
this is a good thing or not! He can certainly kick though!
