Results, Some Messages
We have 4 teams of 12 except that our women’s team is
currently one short, we need another woman urgently, this is for the
final leg approx 8.5 miles Scarcroft to Garforth, probably the easiest terrain
on the whole circuit, so don’t worry if you’ve done little or no off-road
running previously. Race speed is not important, any woman with two legs
may apply. Please!
For the 47 of you running, I’ll be sending out
estimated start times for each leg in the next day. Hopefully each leg’s
8 runners can meet at the end of the leg, then two cars can be driven to the
start. I’ll be handing out race numbers on Tuesday night to someone on
each leg, so they will be available for all our teams. Remember to bring
4 safety pins!
If you pick up emails at work and are on holiday next
week, make sure you have the list of phone numbers I sent previously!
Did I mention that we were one woman
short? (NB another reserve or two for the men’s teams would be
useful, any speed will do)
Also on 2 September is the Women’s Marathon at Osaka,
we believe it starts about 11pm Saturday night UK time, so tune in to
watch Tracey complete her set of the 4 major marathons.

Anniversary Report
The second anniversary event went very well with 33

photos at Leos, then by the Henry Marsden statue on Woodhouse Moor (the
official start of the Meanwood Valley Trail). On the way back we took a
brief detour to

Thanks to John for the photos and to Pat Umpleby and
Connie Cluderay for setting up shop to sell the Anniversary T-shirts.
The consensus of opinion was that the run to Woodhouse
Moor and barbecue should become an annual occasion.
