Valley Striders Committee Meeting – Tuesday 7^th February

Tracey selected for Wales marathon team at Commonwealth Games

Tracey has received her letter of selection so you can now plan for a late night on Saturday March 18 as she will be on the start line at 09:00 on Sunday March 19 in Melbourne

(so Striders wanting to run a 20-miler in March are advised to enter Spen on 12^th or Morecambe on 26^th not East Hull on 19^th unless you want to run bleary-eyed)

Yorkshire Cross Country Championship

In the wimmin’s race, Sam was 15^th, Mary 33^rd and Sara 91^st of 95 runners  The team were 10^th/14.

In the men’s race, Steve was 83^rd, Bob 170^th, Geoff 214 of 221 runners.  We had half a team.

Brass Monkey Results

Congrats to our women’s team of Tracey 1^st W, Sam 5^th W, Mary 2^nd W45 who took the women’s team prize.  Congrats also to Peter Johnson, 1^st M55.

PBs were obatained by Ian, Julian, Mary, Gary, Eric, Hayley and Simon, maybe others too.

I won a spot prize because my race number was 666.
