A Happy New Year to you all!
CLUB HANDICAP
I can now confirm that the Club Handicap will be
this Sunday, 8th January, starting at 11a.m. at the bottom of the steep hill
down to Eccup Reservoir from Alwoodley Lane.
This will be a measured 5 miles, along the path by
the res, past the water treatment works, along the back road to just before the
farm, and return.
I am expecting that Leo's will be open afterwards,
so we can have a belated New Year's celebration with a lemonade or two.
Bring a wrapped Christmas present, value about £4, for the traditional
exchange.

CHEVIN CHASE
RESULTS
Congratulations to the Valley Striders wimmin for
taking nearly half of the wimmin's prizes on offer. Sam was 2nd, Liz 4th
and Mary 5th.
There were 23 Striders vests (or would have been
had everyone been wearing their Striders colours - see previous email for
details of suppliers), this number was equalled by Otley AC and beaten only by
Ilkley Harriers and Dragons, so a good start to the Grand Prix
year.
