YOUR RACE NUMBER
Thank you for your entry for the race - please find your number enclosed.
Race numbers 1-99 are for school years 3 to 6, race numbers 100-199 are for school years 7 to 12. Please check your number is in the correct range for your year!
If you are unable to run, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR NUMBER TO SOMEONE ELSE, as this might cause incorrect allocation of prizes, and could cause confusion if an accident or emergency were to occur.
Please write on the reverse of your number, in waterproof ink, emergency contact details and any medical information that may be relevant in case of emergency.
ABOUT THE RACE The Meanwood Valley Trail is a footpath from Woodhouse Moor near Leeds City Centre to Golden Acre Park at Bramhope. This path forms the first 7 miles of the Dales Way long distance footpath from Leeds to Bowness-on-Windermere. Our Junior Trail Race starts and finishes at the Old Leo's Club, just 300 yards off the Meanwood Valley Trail.
The course is one lap for school years 3 to 6 and two laps for school years 7 to 12.
The route is on footpaths and grassland. There is a map of the course on the race website but please note that the rugby pitches are private land and should not be trained on prior to the race! Competitors should note that some parts of the route will be slippery and/or muddy and/or uneven so should make sure that their running shoes will provide some grip! This is the eleventh year of this race. We had 30 runners in 2004, and numbers have increased steadily to 100 last year. We hope to have 100 runners again this year!

DIRECTIONS
PARKING
Providing the weather is good, there should be sufficient parking within Leos grounds. If the car park is full or you decide not to park at Leos, then PLEASE (1) don't park on King Lane (you may get a parking ticket) (2) don't park adjacent to the play area (let local residents use this) (3) don't park in the shops parking area (not fair to the shops or customers) (4) do park carefully on side streets allowing room for residents to get in and out of their drives. Thank you!
FACILITIES
Inside the Clubhouse, separate changing rooms for men/boys and women/girls will be available before and after the race. (NB valuables are left at your own risk).
The Start and Finish are both less than 100 yards from the Clubhouse.
The bar in the Clubhouse will be open after the race for competitors (soft drinks for under-18's) and for spectators!
The bar in the Clubhouse has been recently redecorated. Please change your shoes before entering the bar. You are also requested not to bring kit-bags into the bar.
Results will be displayed as soon as possible after the finish. All runners in the junior race will receive a full set of results for their race and a certificate showing their time and position.
