Meanwood Valley Trail Junior Race
ROUTE DESCRIPTION

Start and finish at Old Leodiensians' Rugby Club, Crag Lane, Off King Lane, Alwoodley.

Start time 10:00 a.m.

The race starts in the field [Start] to the North of the Clubhouse diagonally across the field to [W], a sharp left to [S], where the runners exit the field, then left onto the path and almost immediately right into the field [8] straight down this field, past the cricket pitch and out of this field at [9] sharp right, joining the Meanwood Valley Trail.

Then through two open areas [9A] to the cross paths at point [10] NB this is very near point [S] so a good vantage point for spectators.

Then on a good path to Stairfoot Lane [11], up through the woods [12] and then along a field [12A-12B]

This leads back into the start/finish field at [N]

All runners do two sides of the field [W][S]

At point [S] the one mile runners turn left to the finish, the two mile runners go out through the gate for a second lap

The route will be well marshalled and marked throughout.
