The Valley Striders membership year runs from 1 September to 31 August.

The current rate (2018/19) for General Membership is �15 per year. New members pay �1.25 per month or part month.

For members joining after 1 June, we ask them to pay up to 31 August of the following year.

General membership rates apply to

• all non-runners except cyclists (i.e. social members)
• runners who are affiliated 1st claim members of other athletics clubs

Running Membership is different. Our policy is that all adult (aged 16 and over) running members are affiliated to England Athletics.

• The EA year runs from 1 April to 31 March.
• Our policy is to collect these fees in advance so that we don't have to collect money twice a year.
• The effect is that your EA membership always expires after your VS membership.
• The EA Fee for 2019/20 is �15. It is forecast that this will go up to �16 in 2020/21

• ** if you formally resign before 31 March 2018 this element (�15) will be refunded to you

• If you are currently affiliated (i.e. paid) to England Athletics, you won't have to pay the EA fee again, but you will have to pay a �10 transfer fee
• If you are not currently affiliated to England Athletics(i.e. not paid), you will have to pay the EA fee, AND you also will have to pay a �10 transfer fee
